AIGA Houston and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) are proud to present graphic designer and writer Armin Vit for a lecture and town hall-style discussion on the world of branding, held in conjunction with CAMH’s exhibition Graphic Design—Now In Production.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Vit is co-founder with Bryony Gomez-Palacio of UnderConsideration, a graphic design firm and publishing enterprise based in Austin. Vit's presentation will focus on logo design and branding, highlighting the branding section of the Graphic Design exhibition which he co-curated with Gomez-Palacio. He will discuss the genesis of his and Gomez-Palacio’s Brand New, a popular website founded in 2006 presenting commentary on corporate and brand identities. An installation of Brand New appears within the show and allows viewers to vote on their logo preference before or after its rebranding. The presentation will evolve into a town hall-style discussion with the audience about the current state of branding.
