Kate Kendall
Kate Kendall is the Grants Specialist at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH). She brings a strong background in grant writing for social justice organizations and varied project management in community engaged contemporary art, public art, design, and events. Her connection with CAMH dates back to her service on the CAMH Teen Council from 2001-2003. Kate is also a conceptual artist exploring time and desire in relation to land, history and the politics of place. In 2019 she started Flow Archive to consider the intersecting flows of time, water, sediment, and humans with projects in Buffalo Bayou Park and the upper Rio Grande. She holds an MFA from California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Studio Art from the University of Southern California which included a year of study at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is married to artist and educator Andres Machin. Together they raise their two awe-inspiring children.
