Konner Mackey

Konner Mackey is the Director of Finance at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. His career spans 10 years of experience in budgeting and financial planning. Prior to joining CAMH, Konner served as Director of Finance for a nonprofit newsroom where he designed and scaled a full financial operation for a rapidly expanding team.

In addition to Mackey’s work in the nonprofit sector, he brings a demonstrated track record of fiscal stewardship by way of his work in local government with The City of Houston where he played an integral role managing the city’s $5 billion operating budget and Houston Independent School District where he provided budgetary expertise to over fifty k-12 education institutions. Konner graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also holds a graduate certificate in public policy from Georgetown University for his postgraduate study of fiscal policy in public sector institutions.

Konner’s approach blends fiscal discipline with a deep understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges faced by mission-based organizations. He is passionate about policy reforms that empower nonprofits organizations to thrive.
