About

Afterwards is a group exhibition featuring photographs by young artists exploring the idea of what happens next? As a starting point for this exhibition, CAMH’s Teen Council states: “Our lifetime has been filled will monumental events, but as interesting as the events themselves, is what we do after them.” For this juried exhibition, they challenged young photographers to illustrate the time after an occurrence– the aftermath, consequences, or celebration of an event, big or small. To explore the reverse narrative, evoke a cause from an effect, document a reaction, and/or draw the observer into something she or he just missed. The exhibition features work by photographers ages 13-19 years old, living in the Houston area. The work will be on view in CAMH’s Cullen Education Resource Room, lower level of the Museum, through April 1.
