Celebrate CAMH’s recent collaboration with the Houston Rockets with a closing reception of the pop-up exhibition, Houston Rockets x CAMH.
“Basketball and contemporary art are neighbors that just need a reason to visit,” stated Phillip Pyle, II, the Graphic Designer and Retail Manager at CAMH. In this collaboration, local artists with an interest in basketball were chosen to create original artwork for each of the Rockets’ Remix Night games and the corresponding Rockets legends during their 2021–2022 season. These pieces reflect the craft and imagination of both their practices and the sport, culminating into a unique cross-disciplinary collaboration. This initiative is part of CAMH’s strategy to embrace unexpected contexts and reach new audiences beyond the walls of the Museum.
Location and Accessibility
The reception will take place in the Nina and Michael Zilkha Gallery, located on the lower level of the Museum.
