College Night
About
Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH) invites all college students to a free evening of hands-on activities throughout the Museum, live music, and complimentary snacks and beverages. This year’s College Night is inspired by our current exhibitions, Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe and CAMH Teen Council’s 14th biennial exhibition, OUT OF STOCK.
Make mailable art in support of our friends at The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art and participated in a collective art installation celebrating student resilience and the strength to overcome adversity led by Lone Star College and San Jacinto College Professor, Rosemary Cantu, and created by her Summer Arts 1301 and Fall Arts 1301 students.
Live music by yorztruly throughout the event with support from Ice House Radio. Ice House Radio's live stream represents the vanguard of internet radio broadcasting, and is a way for the world to see the talent and diversity of Houston's DJ communities. We hope to cultivate new local and international awareness through our broadcasts. We are a pirate radio in the 21st century.
Good Junk Vintage Records will be hosting a community-focused record exchange at our exhibition opening. Bring your well-cared-for vinyl, CDs, and tapes and discover some new music through swapping through this not-for-profit exchange. Guests are also invited to donate their vintage media to receive a thank you vinyl record from Good Junk.

Collective Art Installation
This collaborative art installation led by Lone Star College and San Jacinto College Professor Rosemary Cantu, originated in her Summer Arts 1301 course at Lone Star College and was brought to life by Fall Arts 1301 students. Centered on the theme of student mental health, this project explores stress through the lens of coping and resilience. Through hands-on participation, students are creating a hanging installation that invites the broader college community to share experiences, build connections, and contribute to a collective expression of strength—illuminating how challenges overlap while emphasizing the optimistic resolve to overcome adversity.
Community Partners
