About Flores Designs
Flores Designs is a floral design company founded by Sonia Flores, a mixed-media artist, florist, clothing and costume designer, musician, and vocalist based in Houston. She is an alumna of Texas Southern University, where she received her Bachelors in Jazz Studies. Flores is active in a diverse range of Houston’s art communities. Her work often includes elements of costume, movement, dance, and monologue. In her musical practice as an upright bassist, she is known for her free jazz improvisational style, original songwriting, and actively working within various music groups ranging from fixed groups/bands to first-time improvisational encounters.
