CAMH joins our Museum District neighbors in inviting teachers, student teachers, district administrators, home school educators, and college art and humanities instructors to learn about FREE educational resources available for your classrooms.

Earn Continuing Education Credits up to 4 hours—G/T, SPED, ESL— in FREE sessions. Learn how to apply the arts to TEKS, STEM, and STEAM standards in your classroom during interactive workshops presented by area museums and cultural organizations.

9–10AM | More than Recreation: Self-Discovery through Making
Presented by Contemporary Arts Musuem Houston – All grades
Focus on explorations of media, ideas, and inspiration to delve into hands-on workshops that question materials and process. Go beyond copying artworks and look into the artists’ perspectives.
11AM–12PM | How to Approach Challenging Topics through Art
Presented by Contemporary Arts Museum Houston – All grades
Through a dialogue-based tour of the exhibition, Walls Turned Sideways: Artists Confront the Justice System, acquire skills to facilitate in-depth conversations with students over challenging issues.
