About Emily Peacock
Emily Peacock is an artist who lives and works in Houston, Texas. She received her M.F.A. at the University of Houston, with an emphasis in Photography and Digital Media and she is an Associate Professor of Art at Sam Houston State University. Her interests mainly lie in photographing and making short videos of her family. Peacock was a 2013-2014 Lawndale Artist Studio Program artist in residence. She received the Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Grant for 2016 and more recently received the 2019 New Faculty Research Grant. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States, Vienna, Austria and the U.K. Peacock’s work is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston collection.
