Join Los Texmaniacs for a performance in conjunction with the exhibition Will Boone: The Highway Hex. Los Texmaniacs’s tejano sound is solidly rooted in tradition, yet it explodes with contemporary vitality. Founded by Max Baca (bajo sexto, vocals), Los Texmaniacs is a product of his wide-ranging experience touring and recording with his father’s family conjunto band, with musical legends—Flaco Jimenez, the Texas Tornados, Peter Rowen, and the Rolling Stones. The band has performed at The Smithsonian Folklife Festival, International Accordion Festival, Kennedy Center, Governor of Texas Ball, and major festivals around the world.
Seating will not be provided for this performance. If you would like special accommodations to be made please contact fcleveland@camh.org.
Before the concert at 5:30PM, join us for a catalogue signing of the newly-released publication that accompanies the exhibition Will Boone: The Highway Hex. Catalogues will be available in the Museum Shop, and the artist will be present to sign and personalize your copy.
