About

Listen to the sounds of DJ Brother Jackson, co-founder of Ice House Radio, while exploring the exhibition Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe

Plus, join us for a Jazz & Journaling workshop with artist Carla Sue. This guided experience pairs live or ambient jazz with writing prompts, encouraging visitors to respond to the exhibition through quiet, self-directed reflection.

Ice House Radio will be live streaming from Music at the Museum! IHR’s live stream represents the vanguard of internet radio broadcasting, and is a way for the world to see the talent and diversity of Houston's DJ communities.

Workshop

Led by multidisciplinary artist Carla Sue, this guided creative experience invites participants to design and decorate personal journals using an array of textiles and fabrics. As they work, they’ll follow a series of thoughtful writing prompts, with a curated jazz playlist providing an ambient, reflective backdrop.

The process encourages participants to slow down, engage their senses, and explore personal stories and emotions through both tactile creativity and writing. This workshop offers a layered, meaningful complement to Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe at CAMH.

Tickets

This event is free to attend. RSVP is recommended. This event will also be available to livestream courtesy Ice House Radio.
