Join Pete Gershon, Orange Show Center for Visionary Art’s Director of Programs and Chief Curator, for a discussion related to Mario Ayala: Seven Vans. In this conversation, Gershon will share his perspectives on Mario Ayala’s exhibition and the overlapping worlds of contemporary art practice, self-trained visionaries, and popular culture, Including reflections on the car culture of Houston and the importance of art cars in the city. 

Light lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis after the gallery talk in the Cullen Education Resource Room in the lower level of the Museum.

Location and Accessibility

This event will consist of a walkthrough of the exhibition in the Nina and Michael Zilkha Gallery, located on the lower level of the Museum. No seating is provided for this program.
