About Rocky Rockett
Rocky Rockett is an Independent Hip-Hop Educator and Educational Organizer for the Hip-Hop community who has dedicated herself to missions that intersect with the future of the genre and philanthropic based activations both within and outside of the music industry.
She has contributed to Hip-Hop written related content for Houston Trend Magazine, Rolling Out Magazine, the Mixtape Museum, and Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and she is the Brand Manager for SUC Legend, ESG.
Rockett is also one of the research advisors for the DJ Screw-centered exhibition, Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and is the Community Engagement Officer and Advisory Board Member for Screwed Up HQ non-profit organization.
About BABA RUEROB
Robert D. Jackson, also known as BABA RUEROB, is an actor and recording artist born and bred in Houston, Texas. After graduating with two degrees from NYU funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, RUEROB decided to return to Houston with his one-man hip-hop musical BABA & ME: A Young Man in Search of His Father, which has now been adapted to a traditional mixtape in honor of his father Big Rue of the Screwed Up Click and all the fallen soldiers of S.U.C. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Screwed Up HQ Non-Profit and is focused on empowering and inspiring the city of Houston in more ways than one.
