Celebrate the first year of Contemporary Art Museum Houston (CAMH)’s Teacher Advisory Group with a special pop-up exhibition that features work from both students and teachers.
The Teacher Advisory Group consists of fourteen Houston Independent School District (HISD) art teachers who work in schools across the city. The group came together to share their knowledge and experience implementing strategies in their classrooms, schools, and community.
You Are Here is a culmination of how these artist-teachers use contemporary techniques in their classroom. The works—created by both students and teachers—span a wide range of media and ultimately share a common theme of community.

The group was created for teachers to share their knowledge and experience with CAMH staff in shaping future programs and vision within the Education and Public Programs department. The Teacher Advisory Group provides strategic recommendations, support in writing exhibition-specific materials, and advocates for CAMH’s programs within their classrooms, schools, and community.
