Scavenger Hunt for Colors | Virtual Drop-In Experience

Create a rainbow by completing a scavenger hunt checklist for colors around your home.

Instructions

01. Discover Colors

Rainbows are made of seven colors. Walk through your home and look for small objects in each of the following colors:

  • Red

  • Orange

  • Yellow

  • Green

  • Blue

  • Indigo

  • Violet

02. Gather Objects

Identify your workspace to organize and create. Place like colored objects together into small piles. Notice the variations of each color in your piles. Which colors are most vibrant? Which colors are dull?

03. Build Your Rainbow

Starting with one color, pick one or more objects from that pile. Lay the objects together on your workspace to create the first color in your rainbow. Repeat with each color pile until you have assembled your everyday objects into a rainbow.

04. Bonus Round

Arrange the objects in your rainbow into a straight line, keeping like colors next to each other. Next, rearrange your objects into a circle, keeping like colors together.
