Colby Deal, a photographic artist, was born and raised in Houston, Texas. His artistic journey began at The University of Houston, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography. This educational foundation set the stage for his diverse and impactful artistic career, blending various photographic practices with a deep cultural understanding. 

Deal’s work uniquely combines street photography and portraiture, capturing the essence of family, community, and individuality. His approach transcends the traditional boundaries of photography, exploring both the psychological and physical aspects of his subjects. Influenced by his upbringing and the family photographs taken by his father, Deal has developed a deep appreciation for analog photography, focusing on capturing the immediacy of”The Now.” Lately, he has been experimenting with different techniques, playfully manipulating his photographs to add a new dimension to his work. 

Deal’s “Beautiful Still,” a monograph published by MacBooks, stands as a testament to his photographic acumen. His contribution to Bush Intercontinental Airport’s art collection, recognized as the best in any airport, underscores his ability to engage with public spaces innovatively. His upcoming project with the 

Contemporary Arts Museum promises to further this trajectory, blending personal narratives with broader social themes. 

Preservation, both of culture and personal history, anchors Deal’s work. His recent projects delve into the reconstruction of his own life story, an intimate exploration that resonates in a world grappling with identity and memory. His initiative to start a community garden addresses contemporary concerns about sustainability and social responsibility, positioning his work at the intersection of art and activism. 

Deal’s work has sparked conversations in prominent circles, drawing attention from Vogue, The Guardian, Hyperallergic, and The Washington Post. His engagements with Project Row Houses and Red Line Contemporary Art Center demonstrate a commitment to both artistic growth and community dialogue.

Priscilla T Graham is a proud Gulf War Veteran and Georgia native from Thomasville, Georgia. She credits her success to the Creator, family, and faith. Priscilla’s love is storytelling through the lens of the camera capturing timeless moments of life. Photography soothes my soul and gives me a voice to express my spirit of love for nature’s beauty through a single photograph.  I believe that nothing truly captures a moment in time like a photograph…Photographs tell a story and reveal truths that cannot be reproduced or duplicated in any other form. A photograph simply captures a single moment in time and makes it stand still for eternity. Priscilla believes that photography can inform, educate, inspire, and help people develop pride and a love for learning.

Priscilla’s preferred genre of photography is documentary because she believes that History is made and lives through people, not places, buildings, structures, organizations, or things. These are merely vehicles one uses to make history.  It is through one’s actions that he or she creates his or her legacy and makes places, buildings, structures, organizations, or things touched along the way historical!

In the way of many before him, Gem Hale, has initiated a journey in photojournalism resembling Cameron Crowes, “Almost Famous,” lifestyle of the wise misfit placed in exacting point of view. The perspectives Gem shares through his lens evokes the folklores of his ancestors. Void of pretense the work communicates a language of right now. Gem’s lens shutters between timeless histories and Gen Z relevance, always finding the balance at the tipping point where we learn that what Gem is communicating through his lens is something viewers deserve to know – something and a little bit of everything that is real. 

Gem’s work has been featured in the New York Times and GQ. His exhibitions include, There Is Enough for Everyone and HAYDAY traveling exhibition surveying the life and experiences of Black Cowboys living in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and throughout the Coastal South.
