Gather in the Museum as CAMHLAB resident artist Mich Stevenson presents a workshop on the history, process, and applications of dyeing natural materials using turmeric. Over the last three years, Mich has explored the creation of clothing, sculpture, and installations using turmeric dyed materials. The findings from his years of experience will be offered to workshop attendees while also providing each person the opportunity to create their own natural-dyed canvas item in the full immersion or shibori technique.
Advanced registration is strongly encouraged for this workshop as limited supplies and space are available.
