CAMH invites teens to learn about contemporary art, the world, and themselves by visiting the museum, participating in programming curated by their peers, applying to be a part of CAMH’s Teen Council, and experiencing exhibitions featuring work by Houston-based teenagers.

Teen Council

Teen Council serves at the Museum’s vehicle for attracting the city’s teen population to CAMH and exposing them to the vibrant field of contemporary art.

Martel Award

The Marian and Speros Martel Award of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston is given annually to a graduating senior at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston (HSPVA).

Now Accepting Teen Council Applications

CAMH’s Teen Council is a highly collaborative creative incubator that provides high school students grades 9-12 with opportunities in leadership, visual literacy, and life skill development. Teen Council is for artists and all types of arts enthusiasts. You need not be an artist to apply.
